Our S1 upgrade gives some meaning to the fit of the Y-pipe and incorporates a recalibration of the GTRs engine management system. This recalibration will release an extra 60-70bhp and transform the way the GTR performs without pushing the limits of Nissans original engine parameters.

The Step 1 upgrade encourages the GT-R engine to breath better when fitted with the Y pipe.  The change in ECM map recalibrates the engine management system releasing around 60-70 bhp.

We use the ECUTek management system to facilitate these changes to tranform the perform of your GT-R with minimum compromise of reliability.

The S1 Power upgrade includes:

  • Removal of secondary Catalyist using HKS or Milltek Y pipe
  • Driver adjustable boost control using cruise control button on the steering wheel.
  • Changable maps to allow standard map to be used when required.
  • Accurate improve boost control & characteristics
  • Overall improvement in fuel consumption, relative to increased performance
  • Revised fuel, ignition & VVT parameters
  • Power & Torque increase across full engine RPM range
  • Adjustable launch control set up when used with transmission map enhancement*

Our Step 1 package starts at £1095 inc of VAT and Fitted.  The price is dependent on your choice of Y pipe.  Call us for our advice and recommendations.

If you already have a Y pipe installed prices start at £600.00 inc of VAT.

Our S2 upgrade features the Y-pipe and the rest of Milltek's performance exhaust system which replaces the restrictive standard rear silencer.

The S2 level of tune features the Y pipe from the S1 conversation but is mated to a a full exhaust system that replaces the OEM exhaust, that proves quite restrictive when we are in persuit of power.  Engine performance is also improve as we improve its ability to breath more efficiently.  We do this by replacing the OEM air filter with a freer flowing items that fits directly into the standard factory air box.

These new components are combined with an ECM remap using the ECUTek Advanced ECU Technology giving you one of the most popular upgrades for the GT-R.

  • Removal of secondary Catalyist using a Y pipe (reasonated version is recommended)
  • Replacement of OEM exhaust system with high performance system (e.g. Milltek or HKS)
  • Massive reduction of exhaust backpressure of upto 35%, allowing better flow
  • Driver adjustable boost control using cruise control button on the steering wheel.
  • Changable maps to allow standard map to be used when required.

Our Stage 3 upgrade uses our larger Performance Intake kit. This kit features our large capacity cone filters (as used by the latest British Touring Cars) which receive cold air from behind the front bumper. Smooth Mandel bent pipe work insures great air flow around the whole of the filter to allow the engine to breathe as freely as possible. The intake kits also have a larger diameter CNC machined MAF housing. This allows for more ECU map resolution at higher power levels where the smaller OEM housing would not be able to continued detailed measurement.

Middlehurst Motorsport are happy to undertake one off builds for clients who are looking for something a little different.  We believe that power and enhancement should be the automotive equivalent of buying a bespoke Saville Row suit, not a replica Adidas tracksuit from the local Sunday Market.

Middlehurst Motorsport recognised that some GT-R owners are looking for something different that might not nescessarily be off the shelf.  Our strength is in using only the very best manufacturers and suppliers to build the right specification GT-R for your needs.  Our examples of the T Spec; designed for track use with a high end genuine Alcantara refinish and the R Spec; designed with added power but retaining the rear seats and also enjoying a full Alcantara retrim.

In addition we are able to provide the more discerning GT-R owner with subtle modifications that enhances and refreshes the feel of the GT-R.  Often providing a more economical way of attaining that same feeling you had when you first picked up your GT-R.

We are able to package our interior finishes if you don't wish to have the full interior changed.  Part packages include gear shift knob and steering wheel, which has proved very popular.

We offer a range of leather, Alcantara and stitch colour options.  Rest assured we only offer and use the best materials available with everything being made half a mile from our St. Helens facility, giving us full control of the manufacturing process and allowing us to offer advice on colour matching and stitch choice from a real perspective rather then relying on pictures from a supplier 100's of miles away.

Built as a special commission for a client as a specific track car with a touch of class and functionality, Middlehurst Motorsport have created the T Spec (Track Spec). Based on a 2009 model, The basic specification has seen us increase the power output to around 600bhp and the interior fitted with a 4 point roll cage, Recaro competition seats and full Alcantara refinish, including steering wheel.

Nissan GT-R T-Spec - By Middlehurst Motorsport

Middlehurst are able to produce variants on the T Spec for individual client needs.  Each build is project managed from start to finish, so you'll be dealing with the same person throughout, allowing the GT-R owner to have 100% input from the start of the project through to completion.  We are here to advise upon specification and compatibility.  As each build, and most specifically, the interior is bespoke we are able to build to your needs and taste.

Using the ECUTek RaceRom System and modified Transmission programming coupled to a resonated Milltek Y pipe and Miltek Exhaust System the power increase is just right for the track, around 600bhp.  People are often overawed by figures that are pushed out by various tuners as a major power output gives great bragging rights.  We prefer to be a little more dynamic and let the chassis and the driver have more of a creative input into the over scheme of things.

The best way for us to demonstrate this is on the track.  Even in stock form the GT-R is a very capable weapon on the track.  Few cars that come up against the GT-R are able to live with its ability, even in standard form.  We are great believers in making a GT-R stop and go around corners before we think about power.

The GT-R is drivetrain is cooled using high quality components from HKS. These items include transmission cooling and rear differential cooling. Changes to the suspension are minimal at this stage and are restricted to the ever popular Eibach Anti Roll Bar kit.  Our choice of suspension option on this set is the KW Clubsport kit that is 3 way adjustable and designed specifically for trackday usage.

The standard brake rotors have been replaced with a slotted AP Racing item that we assisted AP in develop back in 2008. The discs are mated to Ferodo DS2500 pads all around, giving excellent stopping power for the demands of a track day.  An option of AP Racing Carbon Ceramic brakes are also available.

However, the interior is what really sets this build apart from the rest. Refinished in genuine Alcantara the rear seats have been deleted and replaced with a bespoke rear seat deletion solution that is complimented by the addition of a 4 point M2 Automotive (Germany) roll cage. The interior is further enhanced with the fitting of 2 Recaro SPG seats with 4 point Sabelt Harness'.

Externally, this GT-R is a sleeper. The only hint that something might be different is the 'T Spec' badge that adorns the rear, giving the impression that something more might just be going on with this GT-R.

With our research and development (R&D) Middlehurst Motorsport are able to carry out rebuilds on engine and transmission for the R35 GT-R
